NEW DELHI: The government has issued a 4-point advisory to the media channels to guard against sensational news connected with defence and national security.
The advisory bars the media to contact any military personnel or his family or going to their residence without authoritative permission as the situation is sensitive.
It also bars the channels from publishing photos of the jawans or his personal information like his house and family members.
The third advisory is to limit the reporting to the professional and operational aspects of the military personnel and completely prohibit news on their personal life.
The media is also advised to be very careful in reporting active operations and high alerts and respect the secrecy of the military operations.
