RAHUL’S ATTACK OF TREASON ON PM, HM, RSS CHIEF & GYANESH KUMAR

NEW DELHI: In a no-holds-barred attack, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar of “destroying democracy” through “vote chori”. He also warned that all of them would soon face action for “committing treason”.

“What has been done to our country is treason; nobody is going to escape,” Gandhi told reporters as he camped out at the Akashvani Bhawan during the INDIA bloc’s march to the Election Commission headquarters.

The Congress MP said the Opposition was not merely seeking to counter the BJP but was fighting to save democracy in India. He alleged that PM Modi, Shah and Bhagwat had “hijacked the nation through ‘vote chori’” and that Gyanesh Kumar had helped them.

“We are not only countering them [BJP]; we will destroy them. I have no interest in what the BJP says,” he added.

The remarks came amid dramatic scenes during the INDIA bloc march from Parliament Street to the Election Commission office, where Opposition MPs were demanding Kumar’s resignation over alleged irregularities in electoral roll revision. The BJP and the Election Commission have rejected the Opposition’s allegations.
