“Dushyant Gautam will have to resign; the battle for justice will continue”: Mohit Dimri
Activist Mohit Dimri stated that those demanding justice for Ankita Bhandari are being detained, while serious questions regarding the role of the alleged VIP remain unanswered to this day. He alleged that Dushyant Gautam has been appointed to the Governor’s post to shield him from legal action. He demanded that a fair investigation must be conducted into the entire matter and no individual should be given an opportunity to evade investigation under the guise of a constitutional post.
Activist Indresh Maikhuri said, “Dushyant Gautam will have to resign. Our movement will continue until he resigns from the Governor’s post and faces the investigation. This fight is now not just about getting justice for Ankita, but has become a battle for the identity, respect, and justice of Uttarakhand.”
Brigadier Sarvesh Dangwal stated that the struggle to get justice for Uttarakhand’s daughter Ankita Bhandari will be further expanded. The protesters demand that Dushyant Gautam’s appointment as Governor be cancelled, a fair probe be conducted into the role of the alleged VIP, and action be taken upon submitting a memorandum to the President.
The protesters made it clear that their struggle will continue until Ankita Bhandari gets justice and answers to all questions related to the case are brought to light through a fair investigation.
