Prashant Kishor undertaking One-day fast on Nov. 20 at Gandhi Ashram, Bhitarwa(West Champaran) as a “penance”
“ PK sought apology from people of Bihar for not understanding their true aspirations”
Patna : Four days after results of Bihar assembly elections were announced, Jan Suraaj supremo and founder, Prashant Kishor today came out of his temporary recluseness and faced jostling crowds of media persons at Party’s office in new patliputra colony.
While addressing media persons, Kishor said that he has failed to understand the moods and aspirations of people of Bihar. He further said that he is apologetic for not living up to the expectations of people.
Upon being grilled as to whether he would take “political sanyas” in view of his prediction about JD(U)—-getting below 25 seats—-going wrong, Kishor ruled out the possibility of his taking “sanyas” as JD(U), ostensibly violating model code of conduct, transferred rupees ten thousands in the bank accounts of one and half crore women’s population. “Not only this but also JD(U), taking the assistance of “Jeevika didi”,
succeeded in putting words in the ears of women at large that in case they vote for JD(U) to power, they are likely to receive rupees two lakhs as loan from the government to start their own ventures in future,” Kishor pointed out. And all this freebies and cash-benefits transfer raised the political fortunes unexpectedly, Kishor averred. Since the elections were not fought on the level-playing fields, the question of his taking “sanyas” did not arise at all, he explained in a matter-of-factly manner.
While expressing his apology for not understanding the people of Bihar and their aspirations and political compulsions, Kishor told that as a “penance”, he would undertake one-day fast at Gandhi Ashram in Bhitarwa (West Champaran) on 20th November.
