RAHUL BLAMES CEC GYANESH KUMAR PROTECTING THOSE DELETING VOTERS USING SOFTWARE IN CALL CENTRES
NEW DELHI: Lok Sabha Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday exposed how the names of 6018 voters were deleted in the Aland constituency in Karnataka using software through the call centres from other states.
He started his press conference here saying it was not his “hydrogen bomb” which will come subsequently after all verifications.
Rahul accused Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar protecting the culprits as the Election Commission does not reply to 18 letters written by the Karnataka CID to let the latter hold the probe. He says this shows the CEC is protecting the culprits who are deleting and adding names in the voter lists.
Rahul said those whose names were mentioned for deleting or adding names in the voter lists. He said this has happened not only in Karnataka but also in Maharashtra, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
In one case, one Nagaraj was shown waking up at 4 am and deleting two forms in 36 seconds. Rahul also produced Gadabai and Suryakant whose names were used for deleting the voters’ names while they claimed they had not done it. He said he was showing how the software was being used to use names of these persons who were unaware of doing this act.
Rahul also broke the news that he has started getting information from within the Election Commission on the “vote chori” which was not happening earlier. It came as a surprise to him, he said.
