Recently, India’s passport rose to 75th place in the global passport rankings, according to the latest Henley Passport Index data for February 2026.
This signifies Indian citizens’ freedom to travel, with visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 56 countries, up from 55 countries declared in the January 2026 ranking.
Based on historical data spanning 20 years from the International Air Transport Authority (IATA), the Henley Passport Index reveals that one of the countries Indians can now visit visa-free is The Gambia.
