Independence Day 2025 NEW DELHI : India will celebrate its 79th Independence Day on 15th August 2025, which will be led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from the iconic Red Fort in Delhi. The Prime Minister will hoist the national flag from the ramparts of the iconic monument and address the entire nation. As the country is rapidly moving towards realizing the Government’s vision of a developed India by 2047, the theme of this year’s Independence Day celebrations has been kept as “New India”. The celebrations will serve as a platform to provide new energy to move forward on the path of continuous development and progress of a prosperous, secure and empowered new India.



The nation is marking the 79th Independence Day today as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to lead the celebrations. This will be PM Modi’s 12th consecutive Independence Day speech from the ramparts of the iconic Red Fort in Delhi. Thousands of attendees, including distinguished guests, top government officials, defence officials, and athletes, will witness the celebrations unfold as PM Modi unfurls the tri-colour and sing along to the national anthem. To ensure the celebrations are seamless, elaborate security arrangements have been put in place.

Under which employment opportunities will be created for three and a half crore youth .Prime Minister Narendra Modi says, ‘My country’s youth, today is 15th August, and on this very day, we are launching a scheme worth Rs 1 lakh crore for the youth of our country. From today, the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana is being implemented. Under this scheme, young men and women getting their first job in the private sector will receive Rs 15,000 from the government. Companies that create more employment opportunities will also be given incentive amounts. The Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana will create nearly 3.5 crore new employment opportunities for the youth.’ jai hind
