NITISH ABSENT FROM PM’S ROAD SHOW & RALLY IN PATNA

NEW DELHI: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar did not turn up at Prime Minister Modi’s road show and rally in Patna on Monday. The Mahagathbandhan leaders described it as “internal differences” while Chirag Paswan dubbed it as division of responsibilities in the NDA.

Paswan said the responsibilities were distributed because of small time period before the polls, the first round on November 6.

Mahagathbandhan’s CM candidate and Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav claimed the PM did not keep Nitish Kumar on his platform since he no longer trusts Nitish Kumar. He said the BJP has already clarified that Nitish Kumar won’t be the chief minister, this time.

Tejashwi also questioned the Prime Minister’s repeated travels in Bihar. “Has the PM left with no other work as he is almost camping in Bihar for the past four months,” he said.

Paswan said four days of electioneering were lost in Diwali and Chhath Puja and then two days of rains. That is why the responsibilities were distributed. He said while the Prime Minister carrying out his responsibilities, Nitish Kumar is carrying out the road show of 250-300 km every day.

He said the plan was decided right from the first day that all parties will share the platform in the first rally and again in the last rally. On repeated forays of PM in Bihar, Paswan said it is a matter of pride for Bihar. Which PM had earlier given priority to Bihar, he asked and pointed out that Modi has visited Bihar 12 times since becoming the Prime Minister.
