
NEW DELHI, Feb 2026,: Lok Sabha Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday had a discussion with leaders of the farmers unions from across the country in the Parliament House as they underscored urgent need for a nationwide mass movement to resist the India-US trade deal and defend the rights, incomes and future of the Indian farmers and the farm labourers.
The farm leaders expressed their opposition to the US-India trade deal, warning that it poses a grave threat to the livelihoods of farmers cultivating corn, soyabean, cotton, fruits, and nuts.
