NEW DELHI, Feb 2026 : Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Tuesday said US President Trump trying to make India a slave country and Prime Minister Modi is letting him make up the bonded labour.
Condemning this surrender of Modi, he told a press conference here that Modi has allowed Trump to destroy the farmers. He said there is an anger in the country over Modi’s conduct.
He also accused the Modi government of trying to frighten the youth protesting on behalf of the Congress. He said the Congress will not be frightened while Modi is himself “darpok.” That is why he said the Prime Minister is evading Parliament by not defending himself and his policies.
Kharge condemned the government trying to frighten the youths and said the Congress will continue to fight against those trying to put India into mortgage (girvi), sacrificing to safeguard democracy and Constitution.
