NEW DELHI: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday declared in Lucknow to give bulletproof jackets to journalists to ensure their security.
He alleged that the journalists are facing injustice in Uttar Pradesh under the present Yogi government.
After meeting the freedom fighters, he announced to raise the monthly stipend to them to Rs 51,000 per month and free treatment in the government hospitals. He said the SP poll manifesto will include concession to them in trains and buses.
