NEW DELHI: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has given the party’s first ticket in the UP Assembly elections for Ayodhya seat to a pandit, Pawan Pandey.
He announced this on Wednesday at a convention of the Brahmin samaj in Ayodhya.
Akhilesh declared the party’s candidate for the high-pofile seat to tej Narain alias Pawan Pandey and asserted that he will be elected.
Addressing the Brahmin meet in Ayodhya, he explained the meaning of PD, saying P also stands for Pandit and as such his party is not committed only to pichhada, dalit and minorities.
